United States troops fought Mexican bandits along the Rio Grande near Fort Hancock Texas early today the bandits numbering in the hundreds fired on patrols as they attempted to cross the river and raid hamlets and ranches on the American side reinforcement was rushed to Fort Hancock amid ongoing clashes.
Nearly 1,000 Dock Truckers and Warehousemen vote to stay at work after talks led by Edgar C. Snyder of the National Adjustment Commission The union seeks a wage settlement and mediation to avoid a Thursday strike while confirming no abolition of the employment hall as agreed earlier and scheduling further discussions with Dr Osburn and Waterfront Employers associates.

Washington April 10 The War Department released the largest single casualty list to date naming 283 men. Five killed in action three dead of wounds eleven of disease seven of accidents ten wounded seriously two missing in action.
The Montana Bakery Co. a large local concern, was forced to suspend operations for one month by the food administration for failing to follow war time regulations. The action ends a period of disruption in the city’s bread supply.
Disorder grips Vladivostok as police report they are under soviet control. An official bulletin says Japanese marines landed at dawn on April 5 to protect Japanese residents after a noon April 4 attack on a Japanese shop. One Japanese person was killed and several injured.
General H. A. Greene will review the entire 1st division on the parade grounds at 2 p.m. Thursday. This will be the first review since his return from the western. troops will be in command Brig. Gen. Frederick 8. Folts.
