This is the second raid on the house with inmates previously convicted and appealed, but paid fines and prosecution were dropped.

Judge to discharge defendant in larceny case

Justice P. V. Davis stated he would dismiss James Fischer's grand larceny charge and bill the prosecution costs to the complaining witness. C. J. Dumbolton alleged Fischer stole a stereoptic lantern and views worth 400 dollars while Dumbolton was in Alaska. Evidence showed the property had been bought at a sheriff sale and Fischer held a legal right to it. Assistant Prosecuting Attorney Vanderveer prompted the complaint to Dumbalton, who did not disclose all facts.
