Street car hold up stuns Seattle crowds
Passengers on a Pioneer Square to Hanford Street car were robbed after three masked men boarded at First Avenue. Motorman H F McPherson and conductor R B Jarrard were forced to stop and surrender as the bandits rifled passengers and escaped toward the waterfront amid gunfire and a fleeing crowd. Authorities hunted the suspects but found no trace.
