President Taft reportedly told New York banker William Sulzer he would resist any demand to reveal the reasons for American naval and military mobilization on the Mexican frontier. Sulzer, heading the foreign affairs committee, said he was asked to keep the information secret as a matter of public welfare.

Mrs. Foster Kelly wife of the banker who eloped with Mrs. A. J. Henry was summoned to the grand jury on Saturday afternoon. Ex-deputy assessor H. A. Gibbons who related the Laurel hurst incident and the stenographer from the Henry trial were witnesses. Mrs. Kelly offered no remarks. The charge is a felony but prosecutable only on complaint by the injured spouse.
