Cub Scout DEN No 6 PACK 116 met led by chief Ricky Bick with a flag salute. They made a Christmas present for their mother then played a bottle pin game with pins as prizes. Bob Akers won the game and they closed with a living circle.
The Monday meeting opened with the flag salute and roll call by Rickey Rogers. Minutes were read and Don Wilson was elected Den.
Mountain Trip ir and Mrs Lester Jones of 341 Thirteenth Street spent last weekend relaxing at Idyllwild. Roberta was among Eastern Star members at Grand Chapter meetings in Long Beach. We celebrated Michael McHale and Niel Noble birthdays with cake after the living circle.
Sharon Jay reports a Girl Scout meeting on October 19 starting at 6 30 p m due to a night activity. The group discussed campout needs collected registration and food money formed patrols received uniforms and will bring an accessory next week. After adjournment they attended a volley ball game between the PTA and faculty at J H Mc Gaugh Intermediate School.

Pete Ekberg and G Stangeland took a bus from Long Beach to Los Angeles to board a train to New York City. They travel to meet Pete’s sister Mrs Anna Hanson who will arrive from Copenhagen for a four month visit. The trio will return by train stopping in Chicago and Salt Lake City for a few days.

The annual bike parade for children drew growing attention as youngsters displayed decorated cycles. Winners in Group I included Billy Right and Ann Eckert, in Group II Carol Stephens and Susan Eckert, and in Group III Donald Garner and Douglas Campbell. Judges Mrs. Vivian Jensen, Mr. Fred Lusk, and Mr. Faris Van Sanat praised the effort.
A Cub Scout ceremony welcomed new Bobcats as the cubmaster and den chiefs led a candlelit ritual around a simulated campfire. Den 6 and Den 5 presented beekeeper skits, while Den 7 and Den 11 performed Robin Hood themed acts.
A Cubs meeting recounts Robin Hood style pantomime with dyed pillowcase costumes and cardboard scenery. Members receive Bobcat pins service stars and Wolf badges while attendees thank parents and Kid's Baseball Association volunteers.
