Birthday Month Highlights in Seal Beach Tales
In Seal Beach notes, JIK, publisher of a local paper, turned 16 with a family birthday. The column recounts modest celebrations, a busy day in Long Beach, dinner mishaps, and a baby’s cake disaster. Local sports and community events, including a Junior Women softball game and Lions meeting, are noted alongside a curious incident at Sylvester's Market where a three year old returned a $25 cashier’s check, traced to a local man via post office records. The story emphasizes small-town whimsy and everyday local activity.
