The tenth reunion of the Fifty-second Pennsylvania Volunteers was held in Scranton. A patrolman fearing singing from the corpse’s room startled the captain, who restrained him as hymns sounded and the decomposed body demanded explanations. The scene highlights decorum breaches in death.
