Industrial note: The Spring Mountain collieries Nos. 1 and 4 near Hazleton and operated by J C Hayden & Co and collieries Nos. 1 5 6 and Laurel Hill and South Sugar Notch near Hazleton operated by A Pardee & Co were purchased today by Lehigh Valley Coal Co. The works employ nearly 4,000 men and produce over 4,000 tons daily.
