The Great Wallace Shows opened a two day engagement at BMax position park with a top notched drone pageant and dazzling acrobatic feats. The Nelson team and avi welis wowed the crowd while Mine Maccari led a grand finale. A multitude of acts and running jokes kept spectators laughing throughout the performance. The show travels to Ashe Street grounds for a Friday June 2 exhibit.

Flood in Pittston Schooler Mine Shaft
Flooding in the Schooler shaft at Pittston has risen to about eleven to twelve feet above the bottom. Seven pumps operate in the fourteen foot vein but cannot remove the water as overflow enters the shaft. Two more pumps will be deployed as soon as possible to manage the surge and protect the shaft from further flooding.

On June 1 the passenger department of the Pennsylvania Railroad publishes the 1860 edition of a summer excursion route book. It offers short descriptive notes of popular Eastern resorts, routes and fares, lists principal coastal destinations, and includes over fifteen hundred routes. The book features a colored cover and fine scenery illustrations. copies will be sold for ten cents at railroad ticket offices or by mail from the general office.
