Expansion in Medical Teaching at University of Pennsylvania
The University of Pennsylvania plans a new medical laboratory building on Hamilton Walk between Thirty-sixth and Thirty-seventh Streets, costing over 500000, with extensive laboratories, lecture rooms, and a forthcoming complex of medical buildings to form one of the largest groups devoted to medicine in America or Europe. The project envisions specialized labs for physiology, pharmacology, pathology, microscopy, and morbid anatomy, plus demonstration rooms, larger lecture halls, museums, and staff facilities, all designed to maximize light, expansion, and integrated teaching.
