Supreme Court upholds classification in school board case
The court affirms the Act of 1874 as constitutional allowing a third class city to form a single school district. It rejects arguments that section 41 and related provisions amount to prohibited special legislation, noting classification serves public convenience without targeting any excluded group. The ruling cites historic precedents and stresses equal application to similarly situated communities.
