Pardons Board Grants Rehearing in Epps Case

Harrisburg March 21 Former Sheriff Alexander Crow of Philadelphia urged a rehearing to support commutation for William Epps in a murder case with an upcoming hanging. The board granted the rehearing and recommended pardons for Cyrus Witmer, Thomas Cooper, and A H Grant while denying several others and granting a rehearing for Frank J Krause. Extend Pension Law To Cover All Mexican War Veterans

Washington March 21 The house pensions committee favors extending the 1893 pension act which raised monthly payments from $8 to $12 to cover those pensioned after the act as well as those pensioned before. Chase on Mulberry Street Ends With Camera Smashed

Boy Killed In Yard Accident At Lackawanna Steel

A 12 year old named Joseph Anders was fatally struck by a switching locomotive at the Lackawanna Iron and Steel yard.
