Missouri Republicans Pick McKinley Delegates in Split Convention Plan

In New York City on March 20 conventions were held in all thirty five assembly districts to nominate delegates to the Republican state convention next Tuesday. The state body will select four delegates and four alternates for the national convention in St Louis. Anti Platt supporters claim they elected delegates in districts one two three eighteenth and twenty seventh. Escape of Harrisburg Felon From Train Drama Near Pittsburg
Jim Foulk a house breaker and pugilist escaped from Constable Redman on a Pennsylvania railroad train forty miles east of Pittsburg. He had been pursued by Chief of Police Anderson since Harr isburg two years earlier when he broke into a home. Foulk leaped from the speeding train and vanished in a snowbank after the constable released his restraints. Police traced him to Pittsburg where he was arrested on Tuesday but the escape occurred during transit.
