Permanent injunction shields canal dispute in Pike County
At the Pike county court term Judge Purdy made permanent the preliminary injunction restraining the Erie railroad company from interfering with the abandoned Delaware and Hudson Canal. The injunction originated last November when the Erie and Wyoming Valley company, which bought the canal to build a Hawley to Lackawaxen railroad, sought relief.
