In New York at the Bank of New Amsterdam on Broadway and Thirty-ninth Street a man identified as George Clark demanded 6000 dollars from President George H Wyckoff and shot him in the abdomen then killed himself. Clark claimed inside help and a dynamite threat. Wyckoff and Clark were both wounded and hospitalized in critical condition.
In Buffalo New Jersey on June 15 a well dressed young woman identifying as Lillie Swan from Bradford Pennsylvania and claimed arrivals from Pittsburg attempted to sell sixteen diamonds to a stranger. She escaped briefly through a police station door but was pursued and captured after several blocks. She refused to talk and was held for police investigation.
Masked bandits attempted a hold up on the Washington and Cincinnati express east of Charleston at Cotton Hill. They boarded at Thurmond and entered the engine cab with revolvers, forcing the engineer to detach the express car. Passengers woke, lights went out, and after ten minutes the robbers fled to the mountains.
New York June 15 The Women’s International Maybrick association led by Mrs. Charles Henrotin Mrs. Elizabeth Cady Stanton Mrs. M Louise Thomas and Mrs Julia Ward Howe plans to send a petition to the queen on behalf of Mrs Maybrick The move comes at the urging of Miss Frances Willard who has lately changed stance and now believes Maybrick is innocent after seven years imprisonment

Topeka June 15 Jake Pierce who was fined for operating a whiskey joint in Tonga noxle has redesigned a farm wagon into a red painted cabin with a demijohn mural. The wagon on wheels is pulled by two old horses and supplies liquor to farmers and travelers as Pierce evades officers by moving to neighboring counties.
Fort Scott Kansas June 15 Bill West the Indian Territory desperado who recently escaped from Topeka jail while held for murder by federal authorities was shot and killed this morning at Imnels California while resisting arrest by territory officer Thomas Carlisle West identified by relatives West faced three murder charges including the killing of U S Marshal Kinney at Fairfield He was 22 years old and considered the most dangerous bandit in the territory
