Bond Validated in Lackawanna Estate Case

Judge Purdy yesterday held valid the bond posted by J. & Carter as administrator of Jesse Stewart estate in Lackawanna county Belvidere New Jersey. The bond covers the indebtedness of Thomas Stewart of Belvidere who died owing 10779.46 dollars to the estate. Executors Michael Miller George Kinback A R Raub and Warren Wolfe of the Throop estate are the sureties. The administration bond was challenged to revoke letters of administration and the bond was attacked on that ground.

Judge Rules Bond Valid Despite Minor Variations

Judge Purdy overruled an objection to the fiducial bond held by the Astern Trust Co noting the 1892 Act allows immaterial variations in prescribed forms. He held that the bond’s general conditions meet statutory requirements and that the statute of limitations does not bar an original administration bond as shown in Commonwealth v. Patterson W. 515.
