Dundaff Stockholder Dispute Spills Into Street Wires
In Dundaff on Thursday a conflict between two local telephone lines erupted when Line No 2 attempted to string wires on the same street side as Line No 1. A $20 stockholder opposed the move, calling in a sawmill to add twelve foot cross-arms, but Uber Burns halted the plan and ordered existing arms kept. The scene calmed after his intervention as Decker’s Hotel faced a busy season accommodating visitors. The community later noted a sunshine service at the Baptist church and a church sermon for children by Rev W R Tinker. Other local residents and visitors were mentioned including Skeels of Carbondale, Mrs Davis of Carbondale, and Mrs Olds of Allentown visiting Decker’s household.
