Coughlin Joins Wilkes-Barre Team Amid Odd Board Action
William Coughlin formerly with Pawtucket joined Wilkes-Barre on Monday and spent the night at his parents’ home on Capoose Avenue. A poky board of appraisement at the melee with Providence passed a ban on Coughlin bonds, ordering their sale only above par and forbidding Scranton members from holdings. A bronze medal was ordered for Coughlin’s achievements as the session adjourned. Later a balloon ascent at Victor Koch’s home drew spectators from a passing car on Madison Avenue. A storm soaked Park Place and Green Ridge, while Monday brought a gentile rain to Dunmore and Marion Street.
