Idea Meet Favored for Park Access Via Rail Land

The proposal to create a park approach from Cemetery street gains strong support from residents and City Engineer Poilifpe. An approach would use a narrow land strip owned by Delaware Lickawanna and Western Railroad across the railroad tracks, with a possible flooded miniature lake. A Valley Passenger Company franchise to run cars to Ball’s Head could make the area as accessible as Round Woods, and the West Side Board of Trade endorsed the plan at a recent meeting.
