Little Hope Of Recovery After Hospital Consultation
Thursday afternoon a consultation of the hospital physicians was held in the Hart cage regarding the shooting of the colored man Hart on Tuesday by Howard. The doctors probed for the bullet but found no trace after reaching the bone, and they believe a splinter from the ball injured the lung causing blood expectoration. They assess only a small chance of recovery. Dr. Walsh warned authorities there is little time for an anti mortem statement. Howard, the alleged assailant, remains at large and is regarded as dangerous.
