Maine disaster interview rejects accident theory
Frederick Wagner of LT Scott street, Wilkes-Barre, a former Maine sailor, insists the explosion was not an accident. He cites strict discipline, locked magazines, guarded powder, and drill routines as evidence against spontaneous combustion or external mines. He mocks inferring an infernal machine or boiler blast and notes navy precautions. Wroapson & Tallman present the new Dunlap hat today.
