In Knoxville at WH o'clock last night a double murder occurred two miles from Sevirville. William Whaley aged 24 and his wife aged 20 were shot by two unknown men who broke down the door without a word. Miss Ligsie McMahon, sister of Mrs. Whaley, witnessed the scene with the Whaley infant in her arms.
Fires will be lighted Friday in furnace A at Maryland Steel Sparrows Point. About 200 men idle since September will return, rising to 400 500 within two weeks as mills start. The full plant is expected to be in operation before spring, providing work for nearly 3,000 workers.
