Jeffersonville Indiana December 25 a race war outbreak is under way at Cementville a Pan Handle railroad station five miles north of the city with armed negroes threatening white residents. The disturbance began when Lee Ranger and John Redmond intoxicated men insulted whites. Rangers was shot by Samuel Kendall during a theft of Kendall's saloon and later hidden by companions. Prosecution and law officers moved to restore order as whites cower indoors awaiting further danger.
