Fatal play clash ends in neck dislocation in Forest City
In Forest City on April 27 1596 Johnnie McGrath thirteen and Joseph Walinski a Polish boy of about the same age fought over a dispute during a game of Kick the Can. McGrath fell and died instantly from a dislocated neck after a blow to the chin. A coroner's jury found no blame on Walinski. Funeral services will be held at St Agnes church at 2 30 this afternoon with burial in St Roves cemetery Carbondale.

The steamer Wyanoke bound from Richmond to New York collided with the cruiser Columbia as it anchored at Newport News and sank within about thirty minutes. There were 107 passengers and 40 crew aboard. all lives are believed saved. The Wyanoke lies in about 40 feet of water and may be raised.
