Times Square TKTS Booth Celebrates 40th Birthday
The TKTS booth in Times Square marks 40 years of selling same day discount Broadway and off Broadway tickets. Visitors crowd the red jacket staffed booth to find affordable options as box offices send remaining full price seats to the booth. Since 1973 the booth has sold millions of tickets and remains a staple for New Yorkers and visitors seeking budget theater.
