Air Evac 109 crew escorted home in solemn procession
First responders from Laurel County, Clay County and allied agencies escorted the Air Evac 109 flight crew back from Frankfort after a fatal crash in Clay County on June 6. The three crew members were Pilot Eddy Sizemore, paramedic Lee Dobbs, and flight nurse Jesse Jones. A mile long procession of blue and red lit vehicles included police, fire, rescue and ambulance units, with Sizemore’s family present. First responders said they wished to bring the crew home.
