Arjay woman indicted in fatal crash arraigned in Knox County
Melissa Ann Collett, a 35 year old from Arjay, appeared in Knox County Circuit Court in handcuffs for arraignment on a five count indictment including murder and three counts of first degree assault related to a crash that killed 11 year old Nathaniel Lee Broughton and injured three other children. Collett remains jailed on a 250000 dollar cash bond with a pretrial conference set for August 2.

Girdler man arraigned in decade-old sodomy case
Jerry E. Amundsen 43 formerly of Girdler appeared in Knox County Circuit Court for arraignment on a first-degree sodomy investigation from 2003 involving a 12-year-old victim. Indicted in 2005, he fled Kentucky, later found in South Korea, and was transported back by the U.S. Marshals Service with KSP assistance.
