Blanc Fumbles Costly As BYU Falls To CSU In Fort Collins
BYU junior tailback Blanc rushed 179 yards on 33 carries and scored to fuel a 17-14 BYU lead, but two consecutive fourth quarter fumbles by Blanc, credited to fatigue, helped Colorado State pull ahead for a 21-17 victory. CSU linebacker Kevin McLain forced both turnovers as Jim McKenzie added a one yard rushing TD for the Rams. Coach LaVell Edwards noted Blanc plays at 100 percent and credited CSU for capitalizing on the miscues. Arizona opened its season with a 16-0 win over Pacific.
