Justice court rehearing ordered in slaying case
A second preliminary hearing was ordered by Maricopa County Superior Court Judge Sandra O Conn for Daniel Rivera and Mark Koch in the contract slaying of Robert W Macaluso. The case was remanded after a public exclusion during July proceedings. Rivera and Koch face first degree murder and conspiracy charges connected to Macaluso disappearance. Witness Joe Wesley Jamison testified Rivera paid Koch 3300 dollars to kill Macaluso and that Koch stabbed him outside Scottsdale. Remains were found near Granite Reef Dam, east of Scottsdale.
