Burglary decline tied to four factors in Scottsdale
Scottsdale police credit a 25 percent August drop in burglaries to major arrests, citizen involvement, team policing, and burglary prevention programs. Officer George Graham notes 75 incidents in August, down from the year’s 100 monthly average, with 10 of 75 solved through public tips and 33 and 21 burglaries confessed by two suspects. He expects a rise in December but sees overall progress and plans further citizen outreach and education on home security.
