Christine Keeler, 22, was reportedly hospitalized briefly Friday in London for an overdose of sleeping tablets and said to be under a doctor’s orders. The Daily Express quoted her saying she had been depressed over a boyfriend, while she told reporters she was feeling fine Sunday night. Keeler, central to last year’s Profumo scandal, now lives in Marylebone with her mother and stepfather, with the affair contributing to government turmoil and the resignation of War Minister John Profumo and her own perjury conviction.

City of Scottsdale adopts Ordinance No. 220 creating Chapter 23 for dog vaccination licensing and control. It defines terms, requires annual $3 licenses, $2 late fee, transfers, exemptions for guide dogs and certain shows, and penalties for noncompliance including impoundment. Vaccination proof is required before licensing with rabies vaccine details.
The City adopts a dog control ordinance authorizing enforcement by the City Enforcement Agent. Vaccinations by a veterinarian may be required for impounded unvaccinated dogs with owner payment. Barking and running at large are prohibited. impounded dogs face minimum containment and fees. Penalties range up to 200 dollars, with provisions for adoption, ownership claims, and possible destruction for severe illness or injury. A cooperative agreement with county health bodies is authorized for a city county pound. Effective January 1, 1965.
