Gophers plan to sue NCAA over sanctions
University of Minnesota President C. Peter Magrath announced the school will file for a temporary injunction in U.S. District Court in Minneapolis to block NCAA penalties. He argued the three players should not be punished to spare other programs and said withdrawal from the NCAA could be considered. Governor Wendell Anderson voiced support for the university’s stand.
