Scottsdale land owner protests 60-foot APS transmission poles
Scottsdale property owner Robert Choate led a protest against Arizona Public Service plans to install six mile long 60 foot high transmission poles along N Scottsdale Rd. APS engineers say the new 69 000 volt line plus an existing 12 000 volt line will run from Pinnacle Peak Rd. to the Executive House with poles placed about 400 feet apart. Choate suggests placing poles in the Indian Bend wasteway and called on local officials to halt the project while APS cites improved power reliability and a loop around the Phoenix area.
