It's A Date play nets funds for band uniforms
Mrs. Kenton Scott of the Stanley A. Crews Post No. 3513 VFW Ladies Auxiliary announced the play Its A Date was a financial success. Proceeds fund three Highlands High School band uniforms and welfare, with copper cups for King Eddie Coyington and Queen Ruby Cayral, a bracelet for Princess Kathleen Scott, and Pluto puppet for Prince Bobby Lewis. Other prizes include pottery, tea kettle, thermos bottle, and orchids.

Glendale High QB Jim Loughran Lost to Injury
Jim Loughran, starting quarterback for Glendale High School, is out for the season after a head concussion suffered in a game against Phoenix Technical School. He has been hospitalized since Friday and is expected to be released Friday with no chance to return this year.
