Scottdale man charged in slaying of ASU student in Tempe
Tempe Deputy County Attorney Hugo Zettler filed a manslaughter charge against Kevin Besh 19 of Columbus Avenue for the death of Angel Rivera 22 of Glendale after a confrontation near Third and Ash Streets. Rivera sustained brain and lung injuries and died at Maricopa County General Hospital. Witnesses say Rivera allegedly fought with Carol Lindner 23 of Tempe who reported being struck with an oriental weapon. Besh is to surrender to court officials between 3 and 3:30 p.m. today.
