Beaver Miscues Give Florence Gophers 33 to 14 Intersectional Win
Florence Gophers defeat Scottsdale Beavers 33 to 14 in an intersectional football game. Florence capitalized on three Scottsdale fumbles and a series of long runs led by Shelby Copeland and Wayne Geddes. Copeland scored twice, Geddes added a late touchdown, and Scottsdale suffered a season-ending dislocated shoulder for Ernie Corral.
