Christine Flynn told police she saw a man at her rear home area around 11 30 pm and was grabbed from behind in the alley. She said she stabbed the assailant three times with a carving knife she carried for defense, forcing him to flee, with a small amount of blood found on the knife.

Grass fire and disturbances sweep Scottsdale area
Grass fire behind 7030 E Carol in North Scottsdale burned a large brush pile with no identifiable cause.
