Unicyclist Kevin Seaman and Larry Chebowski placed first and second in two New York Central Park races and expect Scottsdale to host a future international event after meeting sponsors. Arizona water storage outlook fair to poor in 1972 report
M E Strong of the Soil Conservation Service says major reservoirs are below last year. Salt River Project reservoirs hold 804 500 acre feet at 42 percent capacity and seven percent of normal. San Carlos at 42 000 acre feet and seven percent capacity. Runoff this spring and summer was well below average across Salt Verde and Gila rivers, with only late September storms modestly improving conditions.
