Recorder Found After Cascade DC9 Crash Near Portland
A damaged flight recorder was recovered Wednesday at the crash scene in the Cascade Mountains about 30 miles east of Portland. The West Coast DC9 with 18 aboard vanished Saturday night en route from San Francisco to Seattle after a stop in Eugene. All 13 passengers and five crew were killed. the jet was one of the newest in service, having operated less than a week.

Sign rules revised in Scottsdale council action
Scottsdale city council approved changes to sign regulations. Builders may choose either a building mounted sign or a free standing sign one sixth the size of the structure mounted sign.
