Roommate charged in murder in Scottsdale
A 31 year old Scottsdale man, Michael Ray DeCoe, is in Maricopa County Jail on an open-end murder charge for the death of his 43 year old roommate Lee Chapman Gardiner at 7440 E Thomas Rd apartment 161. Gardiner was found shot in the chest with a .357 magnum revolver on the living room floor after police were called at 5 04 p.m. Saturday. The suspect turned himself in after 6 p.m. and neighbors described a disordered living room with broken glass. The victim's 19 year old son said he and his father had argued most of the day and that the gun was one of four in the home with safeties on the others.

Deodorant sniffing deaths hits Scottsdale youth
