Desert Notes from Scottsdale and Valley Scene
Desert residents return to Scottsdale from Old Mexico while Susie Maxwell recovers from an emergency appendectomy. The Cave Creek Inn sold to Chicago investors Jimmie Taylor and Warren Atkinson. The Arizona National Live stock Association dinner at the Westward Ho featured Lewis Douglas. Hal Heard, new Scottsdale resident, wrote an Eisenhower song hailed locally. Westernaires Quartet prepared a version recorded for national release and Gov. Dan Thornton promised to push it to Eisenhower. Scottsdale pride runs high.
