Bible shows worldwide reach as a best seller in many languages
National Bible Sunday notes the Bible’s global availability in Protestant Catholic and Jewish communities. Blair asserts the Bible as a composite of many books, spanning 1000 years of history, yet one story of the people of Israel, and cites translations in 800 languages for Mark and wider access.

Shakespeare in Psalms and the KJV Bible link
The text notes that William Shakespeare’s name appears in Psalms in both the King James Version and the Revised Standard Version. It claims a 46 word count from Psalm 46 beginning with shake and a 46 word count from the end ending with spear, and links Shakespeare to 1611 as age 46 and possibly as a KJV editor.

Youth and church gatherings fill weekend services
Across Phoenix area churches plan Youth Sunday activities at Ascension Har Zion Conservative Congregation and Ascension Lutheran Church. Rabbis Teichman and sermon topics address leadership and justice. Other churches announce services, reorganizations, concerts, and Thanksgiving observances with multiple pastors, choirs, and programs.
Chanukah observances set by Scottsdale congregations
Chanukah begins Friday with eight days of services across Scottsdale area synagogues. Temple Soles holds a Friday observance and a Saturday service with a children’s event on December 5. Congregation Haverima and Shepherd of the Hills plan a joint service December 9 led by Rabbi Samuel Teitelbaum and Rev. Donald Heinrich. Har Zion lights the first menorah candle Friday evening and holds a Saturday morning service. The story of the festival recalls the Maccabees’ victory in 165 B C. The home-centered celebration features the menorah lighting, the dreidel game, gifts for children and latkes.
