U.S. planes strike Reds as they bury their dead near Saigon

U S jets artillery and helicopter units attacked Communist troops as they buried their dead two miles east of Bu Prang, 90 miles northeast of Saigon, killing 58 Viet Cong and North Vietnamese fighters. Allied reports say over 530 enemy troops were killed in the past two days across Vietnam.

Probation System Study Planned in Maricopa County

A five judge committee will study the county probation system headed by Judge Laurens Henderson. He plans to obtain a Wisconsin report by Delmar Huebner on 32 recommended changes and says any changes should be decided by the judges. duration not estimated.

Burglars Target Truffles and Trifles Store and Apartment

Police report multiple burglaries in the area. A rear window was forced at the Truffles and Trifles shop on West Fifth Avenue with $99 stolen from the cash register. A vacuum cleaner and floor shampooer worth $109 were taken from a locker at an apartment on East Coronado Road. The Scottsdale Psychiatric Center suffered vandalism with broken eyewear and a note referencing the skylight left behind.
