Six year olds and guests relive first Thanksgiving play
Cocopah School pupils dress as Pilgrims and invite Salt River Indian Community children for a reenacted first Thanksgiving in a classroom setting. Pupils wear handmade outfits, exchange stories, and share a turkey and dressing meal, while second graders prepare for a pilgrim Indian party with games and crafts.
