Boy found safe after abduction by teen car thief
Todd Plancon, two years old and blond with blue eyes, was found unharmed on an enclosed Fairfield porch at 7 20 am 14 hours after a teenage thief abducted him from his mother's parked car on Thursday The thief apparently did not intend to kidnap the child officials believed the act was accidental but the mother disputes that view She and her husband pursued the thief as police located the abandoned car near a cemetery later that night Todd spoke to his parents saying Mommy hold you and the parents described his rescue by a family dog alerting them to the boy on the porch The incident ended with a safe reunion for the family and a suspect not yet identified.
