Six defendants once convicted of conspiring to teach and advocate overthrow of the US government had all charges dismissed by US District Judge Alfred A. Arrat at Justice Department request. Names include Arthur Bary and Anna Bary among others once linked to an alleged Colorado Communist Party cell.
Arnold Missouri police held Arhe B. Williams on $150000 bond amid a surprise audit revealing a missing $138000 from the Immaculate Conception Church credit union. The fund had assets over $259060 with about five members. Williams, a local interior decorator, denied knowledge of the shortage.
Thunderbird Academy plans relocating 300 students from its 80 acre site at Thunderbird and Sentisdale to a 450 acre area west of Prescott by September 1966. Construction at Skull Valley starts January. church will run a day school for 10 to 150 students after boarding students move.

The Berlin Wall is sealed at midnight with plans to stay closed through Christmas. About 600000 people crossed daily during two weeks for visits to relatives in the East as a pass agreement allows West Berliners five yearly visits.
Wayne E. Legg, Maricopa County Republican chairman, said the party built an effective precinct operation and overcame a Democratic registration edge. He cited gains in the November election, including Barry Goldwater's 23,000 vote margin over President Johnson in Maricopa County and the election of Robert Corbin as county attorney.
About 28 000 people protested across 23 locations in Japan including Sasebo and Tokyo. In Sasebo clashes led to two arrests after police sought to bar fanatical students from demonstrations against the US nuclear powered submarine Sea Dragon visiting the port. A peaceful socialist and communist led protest also occurred. The Sea Dragon with a US crew moored near the Ajax supply ship, marking the first nuclear powered vessel visit to Japan.
Lowell Thompson of Spokane ditched a Cessna 182 during a flight from Recife Brazil to the Ascension Islands. He spent the night on a 20 man life raft before the freighter Robin Sherwood rescued him at daybreak. An Air Force plane guided the rescue and Thompson’s wreckage was recovered. He was hospitalized for shock exposure and minor injuries.
The City of Scottsdale will hold a public hearing to consider rezoning three properties in the Scottsdale Industrial Park from C-3 Highway Commercial to I-1 Industrial Park District and related zoning. The hearing is Tuesday December 1 1964 in Council Chambers 131 E Main Scottsdale. Mayor G W Clayton Clerk Fern Anderson authorized.
