Former VP Richard Nixon told UPI the Republican party has moved too far right and must adopt a center position to unify for the 1966 congressional and gubernatorial contests. He rejected a Nixon-Rockefeller split and urged backing the Eisenhower-Nixon formula to win the House and hold the party together.
