Paradise Valley Moves To Join Scottsdale Sewer System
The Paradise Valley Town Council approved connecting its first sewer line to Scottsdale's system under a pending agreement. It requires the town to build its own disposal system in three years or revert ownership to Scottsdale. A $27,888 contract was awarded for the line's installation from the town hall to Mockingbird Lane and Indian Bend Road. The council also postponed a decision on CATV permits for about 120 days at the request of KXIV radio executive Ira Lavin and Bruce Merrill of Arizona Cable TV. Additionally, a $1 million bond plan to join a multi city sewer district was discussed, with about 100 homeowners already paying Scottsdale for taps. The council also held a two week delay on Camelback Country Club tennis complex plans.
