Nine propositions passed while Proposition 105 to appoint the corporation commission was narrowly defeated. Pima Democrats withstand tough general election races
In Pima County Arizona incumbents held firm as Democrats maintained control of the board of supervisors and key offices. Sheriff Walden Burr led over Republican Rocky Andresano by win margin with all precincts reporting. County Attorney William Schafer defeated Alvin Korn gold, and James Murphy won the District 2 supervisor seat. Republican Dennis Weaver beat Bernie Sedley in District 1, and Republican Anita Baker Lohr won county school superintendent. Recorder Anna Sullinger defeated Clifford Lytle. Absentee votes, about 7700, could decide close races.

Two Car Crash Injures One In Mesa Intersection
