Survivors include his wife Mabel three sons two daughters and five grandchildren. Services Thursday at Messinger Mortuary with a Masonic funeral committee officiating Cremation to follow. Walter J. French 49 died Monday at his home 11826 N 70th Pl Scottsdale. A World War II Bronze Star recipient he worked as an electronic engineer for General Electric and Honeywell in Phoenix after moving from Santa Susana California in 1964. He leaves a son Walter Jr and two daughters Dorothea and Ellen, plus parents, siblings and three grandchildren. Rosary Thursday and Mass Friday at local churches with burial in St. Francis Cemetery.
